India is doing combating the most noticeably terrible wellbeing emergency ever – rising COVID-19 cases, absence of oxygen and meds. In the midst of this, in battling against coronavirus, India has lost a few major characters also. From music author Shravan Rathod to Bollywood entertainers including Satish Kaul, a few significant big names capitulated to COVID-19.

Shravan Rathod died of coronavirus-related complications on April 22, 2021. He breathed his last at a hospital in Mumbai. Rathod was 66. Shravan was a well-known music composer and a member of the famous duo of music directors, Nadeem – Shravan. The duo were the most successful Bollywood music directors of the 1990s until the early 2000s.

Popularly known for playing the role of Lord Indra in Mahabharata, actor Satish Kaul passed away due to coronavirus-related complications on April 10, 2021. He was admitted to Shri Rama Charitable Hospital of Ludhiana where he breathed his last at the age of 74.

Classical singer and Padma Bhushan awardee Pandit Rajan Mishra passed away on April 25 due to a heart attack in Delhi. He was 70. Rajan Mishra of the famous musical duo Rajan-Sajan was undergoing treatment in Delhi’s St.Stephen Hospital for complications that developed after he was tested positive for coronavirus. He was associated with Banaras Gharana.

Chandro Tomar popularly knowns as Shooter Dadi, passed away on April 30, 2021 at the age of 89. She was battling COVID-19 and was admitted to a Meerut hospital on April 26. Chandro was an octogenarian sharpshooter from the village of Johri in the Bagpat district of Uttar Pradesh.

Noted director and cinematographer KV Anand passed away on April 30, 2021 following a cardiac arrest at the age of 54. He was diagnosed with Covid-19. KV Anand was best known for Tamil films like Kana Kandaen, Ayan, Maattrraan, Anegan, Kavan and Kaappaa.

Kannada film producer Ramu passed away due to COVID-19 on April 26, 2021. He was being treated at MS Ramaiah Hospital in Bengaluru, where he breathed his last. Ramu had produced more than 30 films under his Ramu Enterprises banner and was married to superstar Malashree.

Renowned journalist and TV anchor Rohit Sardana died due to a heart attack on April 30. He was infected from COVID-19 and was undergoing treatment in the ICU of a private hospital in Noida. Rohit Sardana, who was recently tested positive for COVID-19 was rushed to a Noida hospital on April 29 after his condition deteriorated. The following morning, he had a cardiac arrest and died.
