Kohli later refuted Ganguly’s statement, saying that he had not spoken to the Board President and that he was informed 90 minutes before the selection committee meeting for the tour of South Africa about his removal from the ODI captaincy.

Chetan Sharma said on Friday, from the selectors to the BCCI office-bearers, everyone had asked Kohli to continue on the captaincy till the T20 World Cup. He further said, everyone had asked him to reconsider the decision.
