Virat Kohli joins RCB team camp, De Villiers gets emotional by hugging the captain

IPL 2021: The second part of the Indian Premier League season 14 is going to start from 19 September. Before the start of IPL 14, RCB captain Virat Kohli has completed his quarantine period. It has been informed by RCB that captain Virat Kohli took part in the practice session with the team on Friday. De Villiers looked emotional after meeting Kohli.

Virat Kohli had to undergo a six-day quarantine after returning from England. Kohli and fast bowler Mohammad Siraj had reached UAE on 12 September via charter plane from London for the second phase of IPL 2021. RCB posted the three-minute video and tweeted, “Kohli joins RCB team after completing Quarantine. Happy to be here in the team camp as Kohli, Siraj and some of our foreign players join the first nets season.”

It is seen in the video that Kohli and a few other players who have completed their quarantine are seen with their respective kit bags at the training ground where they were welcomed by the players and coaching staff including AB de Villiers. Siraj said in the video, “All the batsmen are looking in good form. It is good for the team that Glenn Maxwell, Kohli bhai and de Villiers sir are all in good form.”

RCB is in the top three

Mike Hesson, Director of Cricket Operations, RCB, said, “It is always better to be face-to-face with the captain than to discuss strategy from a distance. The six-day quarantine has given Kohli a chance to refresh. Now work on ensuring that We’re all on the same page.”

The first part of IPL 14 has been very good for Virat Kohli’s team. RCB remain in the top three in the points table after winning five out of seven matches. RCB will play their first match in the second leg against Kolkata Knight Riders on 20 September in Dubai.
