Encourage innovation in the auto industry: PM Modi

New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that there is a need to accelerate the innovation of the automobile industry for green alternatives, which can protect and protect the environment and also help in making India self-reliant.
Prime Minister Modi’s written address at the annual session of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), an association of vehicle manufacturers, was read out. In this, he said that Amrit Kaal is an opportunity to achieve self-reliance in every field and the automobile sector is no different.
This message of Prime Minister Modi was read by SIAM President Kenichi Ayukawa. In this, the Prime Minister said that the auto sector has contributed to the growth and development of the economy through new avenues of employment generation. He said that it is the need of the hour that the innovation of the automobile industry for green alternatives should get a new impetus, this will ensure protection and protection of the environment and will also help in making India self-reliant.
Modi congratulated the Indian auto industry for becoming the fourth largest industry in terms of vehicle manufacturing and lauded the achievement of record exports. He said, these achievements have been achieved despite the pandemic and they have played an important role in the revival of India’s economy.
Modi said that from the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme to boost production, to the promotion of electric and hybrid vehicles and ethanol blended petrol, the government has taken several steps to further strengthen the automobile industry. . (Language)
