Emirates Premier League T20: In August this year, the Emirates Cricket Board announced the launch of franchise cricket in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It was named Premier League T20. According to a report, IPL franchises Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians will be part of UAE’s Premier League T20. Both the franchises have bought the teams. Along with this, Kiran Gandhi, who holds a large stake in Delhi Capitals, has also bought a team.
Sydney Sixers, a franchise of the Big Bash League to be held in Australia, will also be a part of the Emirates Premier League T20. The Glaser family, which owns Manchester United Football Club, has also bought a team from this league. The Glaser family also showed interest in two new IPL franchises.
This Premier League T20 of UAE will be played in January-February next year. Former IPL CEO Sundar Raman has contributed a lot in starting this league. Soon the names of all the teams playing in it and its owners will be announced.
