Elon Musk made Donald Trump return on Twitter, former President said – I am not interested

New York. The Twitter account of former US President Donald Trump was restored on Saturday night. Elon Musk, the new owner of the social media company, tweeted on Saturday morning about the plan to restore Trump’s Twitter account. He wrote, people have expressed their wish. Trump’s account will be restored. Trump’s Twitter account reappeared after voting ended on Sunday, but Donald Trump made it clear on Saturday that he is no longer interested in returning to Twitter even after a majority.

Musk conducted an online poll asking participants whether Trump should return to Twitter. 15,085,458 people expressed their opinion in this poll. About 51.8 percent of the people supported restoring Trump’s account, while 48.2 percent were against it.

The last tweet visible on Trump’s account after his return to Twitter was from January 8, 2021. It was written in it, for all those who have asked, will I not go to the swearing-in ceremony on 20 January. At the time when Trump’s account was restored, his followers were visible at one million, but within 30 minutes this number increased to 2.1 million.

It is known that his account was permanently suspended in January 2021, just days after Trump supporters committed violence in the US Capitol (Parliament Complex) after the announcement of the results of the 2020 presidential election. At that time, Twitter’s Indian-origin top advocate Vijay Gadde had tweeted, “Donald Trump’s Twitter account has been permanently suspended due to fears of violence.”

We have also published our policy enforcement analysis. You can find more information about our decision here. With this tweet, Gadde shared a blog post related to the company’s decision, through which Trump’s 88 million followers were informed about the suspension of their accounts.

Apart from Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Parag Agarwal, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Ned Sehgal and General Counsel Sean Edgett, Gadde has also been removed from the company following Musk’s acquisition of Twitter.
