Electric Vehicle: To challenge the dominance of companies like Ola, Hero Electric and Okinawa in the country, now the giant Hero MotoCorp is going to enter the fray. The country’s largest two wheeler company Hero MotoCorp has made a big announcement regarding its first electric vehicle. The company has said that it is preparing to launch its first electric vehicle (EV) in the domestic market on October 7 next month. With this, the company will also enter the electric vehicle market.

EV to be launched under Vida brand

The company, in a notice to the stock exchanges, has given information about a program under its ‘Vida’ brand on October 7, 2022. Dealers, investors and global distributors have been invited to the company’s event in Jaipur, Rajasthan. According to industry sources, the company will introduce its first EV product at the event.

$100 million fund

Hero MotoCorp is planning to introduce emerging transport solutions under its Vida brand. Hero MotoCorp said in March this year that it has created a $100 million (about Rs 760 crore) global fund to help over 10,000 entrepreneurs on environmental, social and governance (ESG) solutions, including their electric vehicles.
