– Yes, it’s a theatrical release. As far as expectations are concerned, ups and downs are part of life. Just because some films didn’t do well at the box office, doesn’t mean others won’t either. Every sunset brings the promise of a new dawn. While Bollywood is struggling to deliver hits at the box office this year, some Punjabi films have done great business this year. ‘Baiji Kuttange’ is a film full of action and comedy and I hope it will do well at the box office.
How unprofessional is it for an actor not to promote his film?
It’s like giving birth to a child and leaving them after being hired as CEO. Money, position and fame will come and go but the world will remember how you made them feel and how committed you were. Therefore, once you have given your word, there should be nothing that should stop you from keeping it.
Your lead female actress, Miss Universe, is not promoting the film and will cause trouble to the producers? What do you think about this as a male lead?
Yes, it is definitely causing hiccups for the makers. Film business is like a stock market. Especially when you give a chance to the newcomers, you imagine and believe that they will put their 100% and make a name and profit for the manufacturer. So, it is sad to see how the actress of our film is not promoting it.
