Call to give up casteism for nation building

Jaipur. Giving the example of Lord Shri Ram and Maharana Pratap, RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale has called upon people to leave casteism and contribute to nation building. He said, Lord Shri Ram never followed casteism. He ate berries at the place of Sabri, a lower class devotee. Even Maharana Pratap’s army consisted of ‘Bhils’ and people from other castes, reflecting the cordial relations they shared with them. Why are we doing this when they did not discriminate? We should never forget that we are all Hindus and we are brothers.

Hosabale was speaking at an event organized by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh at Bangar College campus in Pali on Sunday evening. When the country gives us everything, we should also learn to give it back, he said. There should be no discrimination between us and we should have self respect, love for the nation. Addressing thousands of people, he said that everyone should inculcate the feeling of patriotism in their children. So that they can grow up to be good citizens. Since ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and ‘Vande Mataram’ were the slogans of the freedom movement, we should chant them too.

Referring to an article published in America’s Newsweek magazine ‘We are all Hindus’, he said that Yoga, Ayurveda is the gift of Hinduism to the world. We are all Hindus. We should be proud of this. He called upon the society to contribute in making India prosperous and powerful, on the occasion of the coming centenary year after three years of the Sangh. Along with this, he gave the message of environmental protection. ,IANS,
