Junior Hockey World Cup: The Indian team has confirmed its place in the quarter-finals of the ongoing Junior Hockey World Cup in Odisha. In their third Pool B match, India defeated Poland by a huge margin of 8-2. Indian hockey’s young stars Sanjay, Hundal Arijit Singh and Sudeep Chirmako scored 2 goals each.

After losing to France in the opening match of the tournament, India needed to win both the remaining matches to secure their place in the quarter-finals. India kept their hopes alive for the quarter-finals after beating Canada 13-1 in the second match of the group. The match against Poland was do or die for him.

Three Indian players hit double goals
India was heavy on Poland from the beginning. The Indian team got the lead in the fourth minute of the match. Sanjay, who scored a hat-trick for India in the first two matches of the pool, scored 2 goals in this match. He scored the first goal for India. Hundal, who hit a hat-trick against Canada, also scored 2 goals in this match. Apart from these, Sudeep Chirmako also scored 2 goals. Uttam Singh and Shardanand Tiwari also scored 1-1 for India.

India’s next match against Belgium
India will face Beldium in the quarter-finals of the Junior Hockey World Cup. This match will be played on December 1. Belgium was the runner-up in the last Junior Hockey World Cup. The Indian team had defeated him in the final match.
