Debt burden on people increased, 75 lakh crores now as against 73.59 lakh crores in the first quarter of 2020-21
New Delhi: Economy is sluggish after the deadly corona virus knocked in the country. However, now slowly the situation is improving. Meanwhile, a research report by the State Bank of India has revealed that the debt burden on people has increased significantly since Corona in India. Now the household debt has increased to Rs 75 lakh crore, from Rs 73.59 lakh crore in the first quarter of 2020-21.

However, according to an estimate of the report, the household debt as a percentage of gross domestic product (GDP) may decline to 34 percent in the first quarter of 2021-22.
