Dean Elgar said, “The Indian openers batted better in the beginning, due to which our fast bowlers failed in front of them. But later our bowlers did better.”

Despite victory in Centurion, this Indian legend can be blamed, this player can get a chance

Talking about the difference between the two teams, Elgar said, “Our batsmen let us down. I would say batting was the difference between the two sides. We will discuss our performance with the management. But our bowlers did better. And we tried to do better under pressure as well.”

He praised his bowlers for working hard to take 20 wickets. He said, “You always do better with the new ball. Similarly, the hard work our bowlers put in to take 20 wickets. That is commendable.”

The 34-year-old said, “It is not good to lose our very first Test match at Centurion. Certainly it is not a good thing that we have lost a Test here. We did a few things wrong. But a lot of things were positive as well. Which we can use in the next two Test matches.”
