Cricket South Africa postponed three matches, increased uncertainty over India series
India Tour Of South Africa 2021: Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Thursday postponed the four-day matches of all the three Division-II matches to be held from December 2 to 5. This has been done because the Kovid-19 test of some players was done, whose report has come positive.
This is the first match that has been canceled since the discovery of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus last week. Earlier, the second and third ODI matches between South Africa and the Netherlands were canceled due to Kovid, including several European Unions, which imposed travel restrictions on South Africa due to Kovid.
CSA said in a statement, “The competition is not being held in a bio-secure environment (BSE) and in the last few days, the players were tested for COVID before the team’s arrival, in which some players have reported positive.”
Explain that India has to play a three-match Test series, a three-match ODI series and a four-match T20 series on the tour of South Africa. This tour will start from 17th December.
