Corona virus increased tension before Sydney Test, match referee David Boon got infected
David Boon has tested positive for Covid-19: International Cricket Council (ICC) match referee and former Australian cricketer David Boon has been infected with Coronavirus. The ICC gave this information by tweeting on Thursday. David Boon is the match referee in the Ashes series being held in Australia. Steve Bernard has now been given this responsibility in his place in the fourth Test match between Australia and England (Aus vs Eng) in Sydney.
The ICC tweeted, ‘Match referee David Boon has been found positive in the test of Kovid-19. Steve Bernard will replace him in the fourth Ashes Test at the SCG starting on January 5. Sydney Test match will be played from January 5. Australia lead 3-0 in the 5-match series. He has already captured the series. Boone celebrated his 61st birthday on 29 December. He does not have symptoms of corona and he has received booster dose in addition to both the doses of corona vaccine.

Boone would remain in Melbourne, where the third Test match was played. He will be quarantine for 10 days. Earlier, on the second day of the Melbourne Test match, 4 cases of corona were reported in the England camp. 2 members of the support staff and 2 members of the family of the support staff were infected. After Corona’s anti in the Ashes, the second day’s play also started with a delay of half an hour.
