Corona Vaccine For Children: Dr RS Sharma, Chief of the CoWIN platform, has informed that from January 1 on the CoWIN app, children of 15-18 years can get the corona vaccine registration cowin. We have added an additional (10th) ID card for registration- Student ID card. Because some may not have Aadhaar or other identity cards, arrangements have been made for student ID cards.

Giving information about the process of registration, Dr. RS Sharma said that “When you register, it will ask whether you have any serious illness or not. If you say yes, then you will get a comorbidity certificate from the registered doctor at the vaccination centre. You can book and show and then you can get the dose.”

PM Modi announced on 25 December

On December 25, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a big announcement in his address to the nation and said that children of 15-18 years will be vaccinated from January 3. Whereas, health care and front line workers will be given ‘precaution dose’ from January 10. PM Modi gave the reasoning behind giving the vaccine to children of this age group that the examinations are yet to come. At the same time, in view of the Omicron variant, health care and front line workers will be subjected to a ‘precaution dose’. That is, it is a kind of booster dose only.

DCGI approves vaccine

The risk of new variant ‘Omicron’ of corona virus is increasing rapidly in India. Keeping this danger in mind, DCGI has approved the vaccine for children. According to DCGI, children in the age group of 12-18 years will be able to get Bharat Biotech’s ‘Covaccine’. At the same time, the covaccine made by Bharat Biotech has been approved for use in emergency. However, it has not been confirmed whether children 12-18 years of age will get the vaccine or not.
