So, concerned about the increase in corona infection, the central government has written a letter to Delhi and six states and has given many instructions to them.

The central government has asked states to ensure adequate testing, promote adherence to corona rules and speed up vaccination to check this increase. Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan, in a letter to Delhi, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Telangana, has said that in view of the coming festivals and overcrowding in different parts of the country, the spread of infectious diseases including corona has been reduced. can help.

In this letter written on August 5, he has directed the states that it is important to ensure adequate testing in all the districts of the states while maintaining a balance between RT-PCR and antigen test. He has said that the states should closely monitor the districts with high number of cases and high positivity rate to contain the spread of infection and for effective case management.

In his letter to the Delhi government, Rajesh Bhushan said that the average daily new cases in the capital for the last one month is 811, with the highest number of 2202 new cases being reported on August 5. Equally important is the genome sequencing of identified samples of international travelers as well as collection of samples from surveillance sites and local clusters of new COVID-19 cases, he said. Significantly, the rate of infection in Delhi has reached close to 10 percent in the past.
