Corona New Variant Omicron Alert in lucknow: The State Government has issued an alert in all the hospitals regarding the new variant of Corona, Omicron. The government is keeping a close watch on the facilities and arrangements in all the rural and urban hospitals of the state. Emphasis is being laid on vaccination, surveillance, testing, tracing against the new variant Omicron in the state. Uttar Pradesh is far ahead of other states in the corona vaccination campaign. The state has set an example in front of other states by doing maximum number of tests and vaccinations. In UP with a population of 24 crores, rapid vaccination is being done under a simple strategy as per the instructions of CM Yogi Adityanath. Due to this, more than 17 crore 08 lakh vaccinations have been done so far in the state, in which more than 11 crore 57 lakh people have been given the first dose and more than 05 crore 51 lakh people have been given the second dose. In UP, which has done rapid corona vaccination in a short time, so far 78.49 percent of the eligible people have got the vaccine cover of the first dose and 37.32 percent of the eligible people have got the vaccine cover.

Rapid testing, recovery rate 98.7 percent

Along with the vaccination (corona vaccination in Uttar Pradesh) in the state, the number of tests is being expanded rapidly, as a result of which more than 08 crore 88 lakh tests have been done in the state so far. In the last 24 hours, in more than 1 lakh 72 thousand tests, 10 new cases of infection were confirmed, while 03 people have defeated Corona. The number of active corona cases in the state is 139 and the recovery rate is 98.7 percent.
