Congress’s trouble

Perhaps the only way out is that Rahul Gandhi should go among the masses and try to revive the relevance of the party. In this he also had limited success, So the leaders of the old culture themselves will become irrelevant.

Ashok Gehlot and his supporters have poured pots of water on the positive feeling that Rahul Gandhi has created in the public mind through his Bharat Jodo Padyatra. If you look closely, the fundamental issue of Congress emerges clearly from this development. If we look at Rahul Gandhi’s statements and his activities, it is indicated that he probably understood this issue only during the 2019 general elections. The issue is that hardly anyone in the Congress is willing to do what they see from an ideological point of view, given the RSS-BJP supremacy over the Indian polity. Because the party as a whole remains a bunch of leaders gathered to serve their selfish interests. These leaders find themselves more comfortable in the manipulations of the old times and the gimmicks of somehow getting power.

Otherwise, what can be a bigger position and bigger responsibility in a party than the president? But Gehlot left no stone unturned to show that he was not averse to the post, but would not want to take it at the cost of leaving the chief minister’s post. While leaving the party president in 2019, Rahul Gandhi had said that when he was engaged in a battle of life and death from the perspective of the country and the party in the general elections, then the big leaders of the party themselves were involved in getting tickets to their families and campaigning for their seats. Couldn’t get over the temptation to limit. Obviously, nothing has changed in this party culture in the last three years. However, the way in the middle of this is probably that Rahul Gandhi continues to try to revive the idea and relevance of the party by going to the masses. Even if they had limited success in this, a new form of Congress would emerge, in which the leaders of the old culture would themselves become irrelevant.
