Coach Rahul Dravid Experiments To Score Long Term Goals From Eden Gardens

Team India: Rahul Dravid, after taking over as the coach, had said that on the one hand, the effort to win every series will continue, while on the other hand the experiment will continue to achieve long-term plans. Apart from this, special attention will also be given to workload management. Now coach Dravid has started experimenting only after winning the series against New Zealand. This was the reason that after winning the toss at the Eden Gardens, Indian captain Rohit Sharma did not choose to bowl first and decided to bat.

The reason was that after winning the series, the Indian team wanted to experiment as to how the Indian bowlers would deal with the dew factor. Especially how will the performance of the spinners of Team India. Rohit Sharma said after winning the toss, “The plan is that our batting unit face a new challenge. It is to be seen how we face this challenge, how our bowlers score a score with the new ball.” Defend, that too will have to be seen.”

It is worth noting that out of the 10 T20 matches in which the Indian team batted first this year, only 4 matches have been won. On the other hand, in the 5 matches in which the Indian team got a chance to chase, the team’s winning percentage was 100 percent. In the T20 World Cup last month, when the Indian team got the opportunity to bat first after losing the toss against Pakistan and New Zealand in Dubai, both the times Team India lost. Due to this the team was out of the tournament.

In the night T20 matches, when there is dew on the ground, then how to win the match despite losing the toss, has now become the biggest challenge in international cricket. To face this challenge, coach Rahul Dravid has started training from Eden Gardens. It has to be seen whether the Indian team will continue this experiment in the upcoming T20 series or not.
