Amidst the ongoing controversy in the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), the Election Commission on Tuesday approved the two factions of Pashupati Paras and Chirag Paswan as separate parties.

The two factions of Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), Pashupati Paras and Chirag Paswan, have been recognized by the Election Commission as separate parties. For this, the Election Commission has also allotted election symbols to both of them. At the same time, the old name of the party (Lok Janshakti Party (LJP)) and its election symbol have also been abolished by the Election Commission.

Let us inform that the Election Commission has taken this decision before the by-elections to be held in Tarapur and Kusheshwarsthan assembly seats of Bihar. In which the election symbol of Chirag Paswan, son of former Union Minister late Ram Vilas Paswan, will be helicopter, while the name of his party will be Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas). Apart from this, the name of the party of Union Minister Pashupati Paras will be Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party and election symbol sewing machine.

At present, both the factions were making their claim regarding the party’s symbol, which has been abolished by the Election Commission. It is worth noting that after the death of LJP founder and former Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, uncle Pashupati Paras had made his claim to take power over the party. Chirag Paswan was getting lonely in this fight due to Pashupati Paras getting the support of the party MPs.

Father’s name with Chirag’s party: The name of the party that Chirag got from the Election Commission (Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas)) has his father’s name attached to it. In such a situation, it is believed that in the election season, on the basis of the father’s legacy, he will be helped in seeking votes.

Chirag faction’s state spokesperson Asraf Ansari said- ‘Chirag Paswan had demanded a new symbol from the Election Commission regarding the assembly by-elections to be held in Tarapur and Kusheshwarsthan seats. On his behalf, he had demanded to give the symbol of gas cylinder, helicopter and three men standing together as a symbol. Let us tell you that while Pashupati Paras has supported the NDA in the by-election, Chirag Paswan’s candidate will fight completely alone.
