Lathi charge on women protesting against sooting of Ambedkar statue

Ayodhya. The ‘Bhim Army’, which allegedly attacked a lady constable, during a protest against sooting grandson on the statue of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar in Jalalpur of Ambedkar Nagar district. Dalit women workers of the Bhim Army organization were lathi-charged. Police sources gave this information.

Police sources said here that some chaotic elements sooted a statue of Ambedkar on Sunday in Wajidpur under Jalalpur police station area of ​​Ambedkar Nagar district. On getting information about this, many people including a large number of women gathered on the spot and protesting the incident started demanding the arrest of the culprits. Many workers of the ‘Bhim Army’ organization were also included in the crowd.

Superintendent of Police Ajit Kumar Sinha said that the protesting women took a furious stand and attacked a woman policeman. On this the police used force to disperse the crowd. The situation is normal at the spot. Jalalpur Deputy District Magistrate Hari Shankar Lal said that the police were making efforts to arrest those who sooted the statue of Ambedkar. (Language)
