Two terrorists of PAK-backed terrorist module arrested in Punjab, used to order weapons from drones

The terror module was being operated by Canada-based terrorist Arshdeep Singh alias Arsh Dala, who is a close aide of Canada-based chief Hardeep Singh of Khalistan Tiger Force.

Weapons were smuggled from across the border through drones.

Punjab Police on Sunday with the arrest of two people from Chamkaur Sahib area Pakistani intelligence agency ISI Claimed to bust supported terrorist module. Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said the terror module was being operated by Canada-based terrorist Arshdeep Singh alias Arsh Dala, who is a close aide of Canada-based chief Hardeep Singh of Khalistan Tiger Force.

It has been told that these people used to get weapons from across the border through drones and used to supply them further. The arrested people have been identified as Visa Singh alias Gagan, a resident of Chand Nawa village in Moga and Ranjodh Singh alias Jyoti, a resident of Ganji Gulab Singh Wala village. Apart from a revolver and a pistol, the police have also recovered 21 cartridges from them.

The arrest has been made four days after the police recovered an AK-47 rifle, two magazines and 60 cartridges from Arifke village in Ferozepur. Investigation revealed that the consignment was dropped using a drone on the instructions of terrorist Arsh Dala and was to be received by Vija Singh and Ranjodh Singh from Arifke village. The DGP of Punjab says that after the recovery of a large quantity of weapons from Ferozepur, a big intelligence operation was carried out in the state so that the accused could be nabbed. During the same operation, the police of Rupnagar had arrested two people on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.

The DGP has told that in the preliminary investigation, it has been found that both the arrested people have confessed that they had gone to Arifke village to collect arms at the behest of terrorist Arsh Dala. But they didn’t get that. Later it was recovered by the Ferozepur police on the information of a farmer. The DGP has also told that both the arrested accused have also confessed that they have also received consignments of weapons sent through drones several times. He used to get instructions from Arsh Dala for further supply of these weapons. These were to be used to disturb peace in the state. (also from input agency)
