Arvind Virmani became full time member of NITI Aayog

New Delhi. Former Chief Economic Advisor Arvind Virmani has been appointed as a whole time member of NITI Aayog. This information was given in an official notification.

Arvind Virmani has served as Chief Economic Adviser (2007-2009) in the Ministry of Finance.

“The Prime Minister has appointed Arvind Virmani (Founder, Chairman – Foundation of Economic Growth and Welfare) as a Whole Time Member, NITI Aayog with immediate effect,” said a Cabinet Secretariat notification. He also served as a member of the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) Technical Advisory Committee on Monetary Policy from February 2013 to August 2016. (Language)
