With this, dearness allowance for July to December 2022 has been increased from 34 per cent to 38 per cent. This hike is based on the accepted formula under the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission.

With this, along with the salary of October, the full payment of the new dearness allowance will be made to the central employees. Also, due to increase in dearness allowance, a tremendous increase in the salary of central employees is possible. 47 lakh employees and 68 lakh pensioners will benefit from this decision of the central government.

Now if we talk according to the figures, if the basic salary of a government employee is Rs 56,000, then at the rate of 34 per cent, they were getting Rs 19,040 and now they will get dearness allowance of Rs 21,280 at the rate of 38 per cent. This means that the employee will directly get Rs 2240 more every month. Accordingly, in the whole year, Rs 26,880 more dearness allowance will be available as compared to earlier.
