4-time MLA got out in his own stronghold
Captain Amrinder Singh: The Patiala Urban seat has been the family stronghold of Captain Amarinder Singh. Captain has become MLA from here for 4 consecutive times in 2002, 2007, 2012 and 2017. Apart from this, in 2014, Amarinder Singh contested from Amritsar Lok Sabha seat and after winning he had to give up his assembly seat. His wife Preneet Kaur won the by-election from the seat left behind.
