Brahmastra’ In the last days, a lot of publicity was made to save Ko from Boycott etc. that this is the story of those weapons which are mentioned in our Puranas. ….its collection of the first day at least 35 in India million and 55 worldwide It is being told above crores which is seen after a long time for a Bollywood film. It would need to run vigorously for about three weeks to cover the cost. what ‘Brahmastra’ Will you be able to do this?

life on screen

Sushil Kumar Singh

It is needless to say that ‘Brahmastra’ is going to be affected by any boycott. However, Ranbir Kapoor could be targeted by his father Mahesh Bhatt and himself because of his statements about Alia and beef due to one of his videos. Shahrukh Khan and Karan Johar are already victims of this. But there is nothing like this about Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna. Anyway, in order to save ‘Brahmastra’ from Boycott etc., in the last days, it was widely publicized that this is the saga of those weapons which are mentioned in our Puranas. You can say that so much noise and so much preparation for the release of a Bollywood film was seen after a long time. The reviews were not encouraging, yet its first day collection is said to be at least 35 crores in India and above 55 crores worldwide which is a long time for a Bollywood film.

Indiscriminate expenditure has been spent on the star cast, production and then promotion of ‘Brahmastra’ which reached over 400 crores. Made in seven years, this film has been released in 8913 screens all over the world in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada apart from Hindi. No Indian film has been released in so many theaters at the same time. The advance booking report was also very good due to the high publicity. Therefore, it is quite possible that the effect of promotion will be visible on the collection of the film for a couple of days. But the question is after that, because it will need to run vigorously for about three weeks to cover the cost. Will ‘Brahmastra’ be able to do this?

This is Ayan Mukerji’s third directorial venture after ‘Wake Up Sid’ and ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’. Perhaps it is thanks to the earnings of Prabhas and SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali’ that many people got involved in making historical or costume drama or fictional films. Like ‘Emperor Prithviraj’ who has been beaten a few days ago and the next Mani Ratnam’s ‘PS-1’ ie ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ is about to come. Starring Aishwarya Rai and Chiyaan Vikram in the lead roles, ‘PS-1′ is based on a novel by Kalki Krishnamurthy which tells a story of the Chola dynasty. There can be no comparison of Mani Ratnam with Ayan Mukerji, but the idea of ’Brahmastra’ seems to have come to Ayan’s mind only after ‘Bahubali’.

For a long time, South films are running more in the Hindi belt than Bollywood films. This has created a sense of backwardness and confusion among Bollywood filmmakers. Also because critics have attacked Bollywood from all sides.

Kannada star Yash’s ‘KGF Chapter 2’ was one of those films which also earned a lot in Hindi. Overall, this film did a business of more than eleven hundred crores. But producer-director Ram Gopal Varma says that ‘KGF Chapter-2 Bollywood people did not like it at all. Still, Bollywood got confused due to its high run at the box office. They are not able to understand what to do now. According to Verma, ‘A Bollywood producer tried to watch it five times, but he could not bear it for more than half an hour. He could not understand what to see in it, because he thought it was a film from the days of Amitabh Bachchan’s Angry Young Man and the market for such films is no longer in Hindi.

But the problem is that there is no argument in front of success. This is what has happened all over the world. No matter how wrong or irrational someone is, but if he is successful then no one is considered smarter than him. Be that as it may, the very first day of the release of ‘Brahmastra’ it became clear that Ayan has relied more on the glory of the astras mentioned in the Puranas than on a strong story. He has tried his best to enthrall the audience with VFX i.e. computer fabricated effects. But the problem is that it cannot be seen everywhere in 3D. And if this film does not go as expected, then Bollywood is going to face a big setback. Also to its cast and Ayaan as well as co-producer Karan Johar. But Ayan Mukerji has already talked about making two more parts of ‘Brahmastra’ i.e. a total of three parts. It has also been hinted that the second part will also star Deepika Padukone. That is, if the film recovers its cost then it is fine, otherwise I do not know what will happen to its next two parts.
