Bollywood: The bad phase of Hindi films continues, the advance booking figures of ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ and ‘Raksha Bandhan’ raised concern

Advance booking of both these films is less than the upcoming films in Corona period.

Aamir Khan’s much-awaited film ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Raksha Bandhan’ are both releasing today. Bollywood and their actors have high expectations from both these films, but these films got less advance booking than expected, so now there is a stir in the entire industry. It is now discussed that only word of mouth publicity and the holiday crowd on the five-day weekend can bring these films in good shape.

The advance booking figures of both the films are disappointing.

Let us tell you that according to a report, the advance booking of Aamir Khan’s Lal Singh Chaddha is barely 57 thousand tickets. This is half the booking of Kartik Aaryan’s Bholabhulaiya 2. Similarly, advance booking of Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan is barely 35 thousand tickets. Akshay’s previous film Samrat Prithviraj proved to be a big flop. But, the advance booking of Raksha Bandhan is even less than that by ten percent. Trade circles believe that if no big miracle happens, then Lal Singh Chaddha is likely to open around 15 crores and Raksha Bandhan around 10 crores.

Bollywood needs introspection: Trade analyst

The shocking thing is that these two Bollywood films, together with the films of Mandhata Stars, can hardly open 30 crores. In comparison, last year when Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi released, half the theaters in the country were closed and most states allowed only 50 per cent occupancy, yet it was a wastage of Rs 26 crore on the first day. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh clearly said on social media that taking false pink pictures should stop. Advance booking of both these films is much less than expected. Bollywood needs to introspect. False excuses should be stopped when films are not working. However, he added that both the films can improve their position with spot booking, walk in audience and word of mouth publicity.

The effect of boycott on Lal Singh Chaddha can be clearly seen.

Another trade analyst said that this time despite the five-day long weekend, the situation is worrying. However, he added that Akshay Kumar’s films usually get better with word of mouth publicity. Hopefully such a miracle will happen through the family audience in Raksha Bandhan. Analysts, on the other hand, acknowledged that the impact of Lal Singh Chaddha’s boycott call was clearly visible.
