Gang war intensified in Bihar’s Katihar

Patna The gang war between Mohana Thakur alias Mohan Thakur and Sunil Yadav in Bihar’s Katihar district intensified after a post by the former’s name on Twitter. Post Uploaded stating that they would kill 20 more members of the latter’s gang. The post was uploaded by a user Amritanshu Vats. Amritanshu Vats tweeted, “If the joker of the Yaduvanshi Sena (head of the Yadav faction) does not reach my house within 36 hours, I will remove 20 more of his wickets.

Katihar Police is on alert after his tweet and is taking all measures to avoid any untoward incident. The villagers of the area are apprehensive of gang war which can flare up anytime. The gang war between Mohan Thakur and Sunil Yadav has been going on for the last few years. On December 2, six people, said to be members of the Sunil Yadav gang, were killed in an encounter at Bakia and Mohana Chandpur Diara. The deceased have been identified as Rahul Yadav, Sonu Yadav, Lalu Yadav and three others. However, the Katihar police have so far recovered four bodies. District SP Jitendra Kumar had suspended Rajkumar Chowdhary, the SHO of Semapur police station, regarding the incident.
