Bollywood editor Parth Y. Bhatt grabs the Gujarati Iconic Film Award (GIFA) as the best film editor for Affra Taffri

The fifth edition of the Gujarati Iconic Film Awards saw the Gujarati film fraternity which is also known as Dhollywood, come together to celebrate and appreciate the contribution of artists, singers etc who have worked in making the Gujarati film industry known all over the globe.

Bollywood film and visual promos editor Parth Y. Bhatt who is known primarily for his work in Bollywood and made a comeback in Dhollywood after a gap of 15 years with ‘Affraa Taffri’ won a GIFA award for Best Film editor of the year for the film.

Parth who started off in Bollywood with editing Omkara, in a career spanning over a decade has designed promos and trailers for several Bollywood movies like ‘Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster’, ‘Kashi- In search of Ganga’ to name a few. He is also notable among Bhatt’s movie credits as a film editor for films like Money Hai Toh Honey Hai.
His other notable films as visual promotions also include Nirdosh, 31st October, Bhaiyyaji Superhit, patel ki punjabi shadi.

Parth who has been a part of the industry from the past 28 years, while expressing his happiness said, “I made a comeback in the Gujarati film industry after 15 years with editing Affraa Taffri and won the best editor award for it. It was an extremely proud moment for me and want to express my gratitude to the entire team and jury members of GIFA.”
