Bloody game of terrorists continues in the valley, Kashmiri Pandit female teacher shot

Second incident of target killing in the month of May, before this Rahul Bhatt was murdered

The bloody game of terrorists is going on in Jammu and Kashmir and they are targeting Kashmiri Pandits. On Tuesday, in a terrorist incident, the assailants shot and killed a school teacher. It has been told that the victim woman was a resident of Samba district of Jammu. The incident took place inside the high school in Gopalpura area of Kulgam. Security forces have cordoned off the area after the incident and started searching for the terrorists. The Kashmir Zone Police has said in relation to the incident that the terrorists involved in the crime will be quickly identified and killed.

According to a report, the deceased woman has been named as Rajni Bala and she was 36 years old. The most shocking fact related to the attack is that the terrorists barged into the school and asked Rajni his name before he was busy with his work there and then shot him from point blank range. After the terrorists fled from the spot, people gathered there and seriously injured Rajni was taken to the hospital for medical treatment, where doctors declared her brought dead. Rajni’s body was sent for postmortem and then it will be handed over to her family.

The deceased Rajni was a Kashmiri Pandit and her husband Rajkumar is also a school teacher and teaches in the school in Mirhama area of Kulgam. After the incident, Rajkumar’s condition is critical and he has demanded strict action against the terrorists. On the other hand, after the incident, people of the Kashmiri Pandit community are protesting in the Kashmir Valley. Kashmiri Pandit families took to the streets in Batwara area of Srinagar and demanded the government to tighten security measures.

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference chief Omar Abdullah has condemned the attack, saying another targeted killing has been added to the long list of recent attacks on unarmed civilians. The words of condemnation and condolence and the assurances of the government not to rest till the situation returns to normal are becoming hollow.

Thus, this is the second incident of targeting of Kashmiri Pandits in the month of May. Earlier on May 12, Rahul Bhatt was shot dead inside the Tehsildar’s office in Chadoora tehsil of Budgam district. Seven such targeted killings have been carried out in the month of May so far. Among the dead were four civilians and three policemen, who were not on duty.

PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti has also targeted the government for her reaction, saying that even though the Indian government is claiming that everything is normal in the valley, the incidents of target killings on civilians are a serious matter. He condemned the attack as a cowardly incident.
