BJP’s eyes on small parties of Bihar

Bharatiya Janata Party has started preparations for the next Lok Sabha elections. The party is working on one seat each and in this connection Union Home Minister Amit Shah has visited Bihar. Since the split of JDU in Bihar, the BJP has been worrying about saving its 17 Lok Sabha seats. Apart from this, there is also concern about the six Lok Sabha seats of both the factions of the ally Lok Janshakti Party. In this way, after leaving Bihar with JD(U), the NDA has 23 Lok Sabha seats.

BJP knows that if the grand alliance of RJD, JDU, Congress and Left goes to contest elections in the same form as it is now, then BJP will have a big problem. That is why the BJP’s eyes are on such small parties, which have been with it earlier. Although the leaders of those parties are still with the Grand Alliance, but BJP leaders believe that these smaller parties will leave the alliance as they will not get anything special in ticket distribution for the Lok Sabha elections. This was discussed in the party’s state core committee meeting on Saturday, the second day of Amit Shah’s two-day visit to Bihar.

According to informed sources, BJP is hoping that former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party Hum and Mukesh Sahni’s party VIP may have a rapprochement with the BJP. When Amit Shah attacked Nitish at a rally on the first day of his visit and said that he had betrayed many leaders, Shah had also named Manjhi. Its purpose was also to send a message to Manjhi. In Bihar, the Mahagathbandhan is of the dominant backward castes i.e. Yadavs and Kurmis as well as Muslims. On the contrary, the BJP wants to bring together the backward and downtrodden castes. Manjhi and Mukesh Sahni’s party will come in handy in this work. Although Sahni is still very angry as the BJP weakened three MLAs of his party by breaking them, yet the BJP feels that they will come with him.

Apart from Jitan Ram Manjhi and Mukesh Sahni, BJP is also trying to bring together both the factions of Lok Janshakti Party i.e. Pashupati Paras and Chirag Paswan. The funniest thing is that BJP is also eyeing the politics of election strategist Prashant Kishor. In Amit Shah’s meeting, it was discussed that if Prashant Kishor forms the party, what will be its effect. Keep in mind that he is going to go on a padyatra from October 2 and can announce the party on January 26. The BJP is also assessing the impact of that potential party. If more upper castes join them, it will be a loss for the BJP.
