Maharashtra’s political climate has turned muddy: Sanjay Raut

Mumbai Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Sunday claimed that the political climate in Maharashtra has turned “muddy” with many people coming out to “end” each other forever. Raut said that after coming out of jail on November 9, he again had such an experience. Raut, a Rajya Sabha member, was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering case on August 1 and was granted bail by a Mumbai court on November 9. From Sunday, Raut has started rewriting his column ‘Rokhthok’ in party mouthpiece ‘Saamana’. Raut claimed that leaders with a feeling of hatred have now reached a situation where they do not want their opponents to survive. The political climate of Maharashtra has become muddy, where people have come out to destroy each other forever.

He claimed that when I was asked about Devendra Fadnavis’s remark that bitterness in politics should end, I replied that he was telling the truth, to which the media started saying That I have taken a soft stance. The Shiv Sena leader claimed that democracy and freedom do not exist anymore, their only name remains. Politics has become toxic. This was not the case even during the British rule. He alleged that the current rulers of Delhi want to listen to what they want. Those who do not do so are considered enemies. Raut said that China, Pakistan are not enemies of Delhi, but those who speak the truth are considered enemies and such politicians bring down the country’s stature. (Language)
