Ayushman Bharat Scheme Benefits: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambitious ‘Ayushman Bharat’ scheme is proving to be lifesaving for the poor families who are in the lap of millions every year due to lack of good treatment due to financial compulsion. . Ayushman Bharat scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 23 September 2018 in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. The purpose of this scheme is to get rid of the huge expenditure of treatment for about 50 crore members of those ten crore families across the country. Under the scheme, the eligible families are being provided free medical treatment up to Rs 5 lakh every year in empaneled private and public hospitals.

At present, one crore 18 lakh poor families are being provided cashless treatment in 2773 empaneled hospitals in Uttar Pradesh, which includes six crore 47 lakh beneficiaries. Under this scheme, clinical treatment, health treatment and medicines are available free of cost for three days before hospitalization and up to 15 days after. There is no limit of family size or age to take advantage of this scheme.

Under the scheme, the beneficiary gets the facility of free treatment in any public or private hospital in the country. Under this scheme, various pre-existing medical conditions and serious diseases are covered from day one. About 1,393 packages have been included in this scheme, which includes medicines and all types of hospitalization expenses. One or all members of the family can avail free treatment in empaneled hospitals within a limit of Rs.5 lakh.

40 lakh Antyodaya families linked to Ayushman Bharat Scheme

The Uttar Pradesh government had given instructions to make the cards of the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Ayushman Yojana door-to-door in villages. According to this, separate counters have been created for the beneficiaries of Ayushman Yojana in hospitals and through these OPD registration, lab tests and medicines have been distributed. 40 lakh Antyodaya families have already been linked to Ayushman Bharat scheme. Under the scheme, 15,624 health units are to be upgraded and made health and wellness centers in the state. So far, 8834 health and wellness centers have been set up while work is going on at a fast pace for the rest.

Under this, the beneficiary can get his treatment done in any hospital empaneled in the Ayushman Bharat scheme. About 45 lakh persons from 8.45 lakh underprivileged families were connected to the Chief Minister Jan Arogya Abhiyan by the state government. More than 40 lakh Antyodaya families of the state, which were left out of being covered by Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, those families are being covered under the Chief Minister Jan Arogya Abhiyan. This will benefit a large population of the state.

The state government is providing social security cover of two lakh rupees and health insurance cover of five lakh rupees to all the migrant and resident workers of the state, whose registration is with the labor department. Under the scheme, a golden card is issued to all the eligible families. So far, about Rs 983 crore has been spent by the government on the treatment of more than eight and a half lakh patients in the state. The beneficiaries of this scheme are 57 percent men and 43 percent women. The central government and 40 percent of the cost of treatment are given by the state government. To take advantage of this scheme, it is necessary to make a golden card.

The National Health Scheme (RSBY) launched in 2008 was merged with PMJY. According to a report, under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, people have got the most treatment for diseases like hemodialysis, caesarean delivery, cataract, typhoid fever and acute favorite illness. Every person listed in the database of Socio-Economic Caste Census will be automatically enrolled in Ayushman Bharat scheme. Health services such as pregnancy care and maternal health services, newborn and child health services, child health, chronic infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases, management of mental illness, dental care, emergency medicine for the elderly have been included under this scheme. .

Your complete treatment will be free through golden card

There is no restriction of family size and age to join the biggest feature of the scheme. To take advantage of the scheme, a golden card has to be made. To make golden cards, the government is setting up camps at different places. Through this card, your complete treatment will be done for free. Ayushman friends have been appointed in the hospital registered under Ayushman bharat scheme, who help those who are treated.

There is no formal process to take advantage of the scheme. Direct treatment is available if eligible. People from families identified by the government can join this scheme. The information of the eligible family in terms of Ayushman Bharat scheme is shared with the Central Government, all the state government and other concerned agencies of the area, after which these families get a family identification number. Only those included in the list can take advantage of the Ayushman Bharat scheme. Those who will have the National Health Insurance Scheme card by 28 February 2018, they can also take advantage of the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
