The world premiere of ‘Goldfish’ starring Deepti Naval, Kalki Koechlin and directed by Pushan Kriplani will take place at the prestigious 27th Busan International Film Festival (held from 5-14 October 2022).

Excited about the premiere, director Pushan Kriplani said, “The film ‘Goldfish’ explores the idea of identity through two women. One is not sure who she is because she lives between two cultures, neither entirely her own, and the other, because of her illness, with her identity, is now stuck in a land because of her illness. It seeks to address the ideas of duty, love and painful history. We are delighted and honored to be a part of Busan International Film Festival. We hope people can relate to the topics explored and we look forward to presenting our film. We look forward to meeting our hosts and forming new friendships.”
The film’s executive producer Pooja Chauhan said, “Our film ‘Goldfish’ is about belonging. It’s about being able to call a place your own. It’s about the good things and the bad, and everything in between, which is where life lives. Where tragedies are short and epic, all at once. And happiness seems to be both earthly and transcendental. It should speak to people around the world and we are really excited that Busan is providing our film with a platform to find its niche and reach its audience.
