High court lifted the ban on police promotion in Uttarakhand

Nainital. The way for police promotion has been cleared in Uttarakhand. The High Court has removed the ban on the examination process for police promotion. The court has not granted any specific relief to the petitioners. The court of Justice Manoj Kumar Tiwari has dismissed one petition while four petitions have directed the commission to reconsider. According to the case, the Departmental Promotion Examination was conducted by the Uttarakhand Subordinate Selection Commission on February 21, 2021 last year for the posts of Police Sub-Inspector and PAC Platoon Commander.

Challenging the case on behalf of constables Ashish Tyagi, Anand Singh, Shiv Chandra, Vipin Chandra and Sandeep Mamgai said that they had given correct answers to four questions but the commission declared them wrong. Simultaneously, the court had stayed the examination process.
The matter was heard on Monday and it was told on behalf of the commission that the commission has formed an expert committee in this matter and it has been decided on the basis of its decision. The commission is bound to follow the decisions of the committee. After hearing the matter, the court, after hearing the matter, vacated the stay on the examination process and dismissed one of the five petitions, while four petitions asked the commission to reconsider, said Commission’s advocate Pankaj Purohit.
