Big relief to Jignesh Mevani, got bail in the case of assault on a woman police officer

Guwahati | Jignesh Mevani Got Bail: Gujarat MLA Jignesh Mevani has got a big relief from a court in Assam. A court in the state’s Barpeta district today granted bail to Jignesh Mevani. Jignesh Mevani was arrested by the police after he was accused of assaulting a female police officer. Jignesh Mevani’s lawyer Angsuman Bora told that due to some formalities, he is expected to be released on April 30.

Jignesh Mevani Got Bail: Mevani’s lawyer Angshuman Bora said that the district and sessions court has granted bail to Mevani on a surety of Rs 1000. Let us inform that, a new bail petition was filed on behalf of Mevani in Barpeta Court on Thursday. On which the decision came on Friday. Earlier on Tuesday, Mevani was sent to 5-day police custody. The second case against Mevani was registered on April 21 in Barpeta.

Mevani was arrested immediately after getting bail
Let us tell you that 41-year-old Jignesh Mevani got bail in Kokrajhar in a case related to the alleged objectionable tweet against PM Narendra Modi. Soon after, he was arrested again for assaulting the police. Jignesh Mevani was first arrested on April 20 in connection with an ‘objectionable’ remark against the Prime Minister. He had commented against PM Modi through a tweet on 18 April.
