Big decision of England Cricket Board, Pakistan tour canceled

England Team Pakistan Tour: The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has decided to cancel the Pakistan tour. The ECB was to send men’s and women’s teams to Pakistan, but after discussions over the weekend, it has been decided not to send teams. This is certainly a big setback for the Pakistan Cricket Board. Let us tell you that in October, England’s women’s and men’s teams were to tour Pakistan.

After New Zealand canceled their tour of Pakistan, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced that both England’s men’s and women’s teams would not tour Pakistan. New Zealand decided to pull their team out of Pakistan just before the start of the first ODI after their cricket board received security threats. England were to reach Rawalpindi in October for the scheduled two Twenty20 Internationals, which would have been their first tour of Pakistan since 2005.

The board said in a statement that earlier this year, we had agreed to play a T20 World warm-up-match in Pakistan in October, which would include the women’s team tour along with the men’s matches.

Pakistan Cricket Board President Ramiz Raja expressed his dismay on his Twitter page, saying that disappointed with England, going back on their commitment and failing a member of their cricket fraternity when they needed it the most. We will survive Inshallah. The disappointment of the Pakistan Cricket Board can be gauged from this tweet by Ramiz Raja.
