Chandigarh. A rocket launcher-like weapon was hurled at a police station in Punjab’s Tarn Taran district. Official sources gave this information on Saturday. Some unidentified persons hurled a projectile at the Sarhali police station on the Amritsar-Bathinda highway in the border district around 1 am on Friday, they said.
According to sources, the glass door of the police station broke due to the impact of the projectile. Senior police officers reached the spot to inspect the situation. Earlier in May, a rocket-propelled grenade was hurled at the intelligence headquarters of the Punjab Police in Mohali.
