Big Congress leaders in custody, the party called this ‘undeclared emergency’

New Delhi | Congress ED Emergency : Appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) of former Congress President Rahul Gandhi. During this, he had reached the ED office along with many workers. Here, many senior party leaders and a large number of workers took out a march in support of their leader, after which the police took many people into custody. The main opposition party alleged that the Narendra Modi government at the Center imposed an undeclared emergency in New Delhi area to stop the party’s satyagraha on the appearance of Rahul Gandhi before the ED. In view of the Congress march and satyagraha, the police had put up blockades on several roads leading to 24 Akbar Road (Congress Headquarters) and imposed Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in the area.

Rahul had left the Congress office on foot.

Congress ED Emergency : Let us inform that Rahul Gandhi left the Congress headquarters on foot to go to the ED headquarters located on APJ Abdul Kalam Road and on this occasion he was accompanied by Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and many senior party leaders and workers. Shortly after the start of the march, the police stopped the Congress leaders and workers and took them into custody. Later, Rahul Gandhi reached the ED headquarters in a car. According to Congress, Gehlot, party’s organization general secretary KC Venugopal, chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala, senior leaders Harish Rawat, Jairam Ramesh and several other leaders were taken into custody. Later Priyanka Gandhi reached the Tughlaq Road police station and met the detained party leaders and workers.

Congress ED Emergency : Party sources say that Venugopal’s health had deteriorated due to a scuffle with the police and he started having some difficulty in breathing, though his health improved later. Rajasthan CM Gehlot tweeted a video of himself being detained and said that the way the peaceful march of the Congress party is being stopped today, this dictatorship is being watched by the whole country. The Congress headquarters was cordoned off, police were deployed all around, leaders and workers were detained. I was also detained along with my colleagues on my way to the ED office.
