Chandigarh | Holiday in Punjab: Inspired by Shaheed Bhagat Singh, the new CM of Punjab, Bhagwant Mann has made a big announcement as soon as he took over the power of Punjab. CM Mann has declared a holiday in entire Punjab on Martyrdom Day of Shaheed Bhagat Singh i.e. 23rd March. Let us inform that, earlier there was a holiday only in Nawanshahr on the martyrdom day of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, but now there will be a holiday on 23rd March every year in the whole of Punjab.

Bhagat Singh’s statue will be installed in the assembly
Holiday in Punjab: Apart from this, a proposal to install statues of Bhagat Singh and Baba Saheb in the Punjab assembly has been passed in the assembly. While the statue of Maharaja Ranjit Singh will also be installed in the assembly. In the Vidhan Sabha, CM Mann said that on this occasion the people of Punjab, elders and children would be able to pay homage to Bhagat Singh by visiting his village Khatkarkalan.
