He said, “Sarfaraz is a good player of spin and has good confidence to play against India. But we think he will be our best 11 players for this match. Shoaib Malik plays very well on the front foot and spins. That’s why we have picked him. Definitely Sarfaraz will get a chance in the coming matches.”

Babar Azam said, “The first match in the tournament is always important and we will hope for a good start and carry on this momentum. I have full faith in the combination of my team. We will focus on one match at a time. ” The Pakistan captain took a big decision to give preference to veteran Shoaib Malik, leaving former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed.

The rivalry between India and Pakistan is well known, but Pakistan’s team has never been able to register a win against India on the big stage. They have lost all their 12 matches against India in the T20 and 50-over World Cups. In the ICC T20 World Cup, both the teams will face each other on Sunday.
