After stepping down from the captaincy, he will play his first ODI match. All eyes are on Kohli, as he is one of the senior most players in the team. There will be a lot of pressure on him in this series.

Many young players can get a chance

Indian young all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer looks almost certain to get a place in the first match against South Africa. Some other young players are also likely to get a chance. On the eve of the match, Team India captain KL Rahul indicated this during the press conference. Rahul said that Team India will play the ODI series with full enthusiasm and passion and hope that the team will perform well and win.
