Chinese civilian shot dead in Pakistan

Karachi. An armed attacker killed a Chinese national and injured two other Chinese nationals in Karachi, Pakistan. According to reports, these Chinese citizens used to run dental clinics there. The attacker had also entered the clinic as a dental patient. These Chinese citizens had citizenship of both Pakistan and China. He was operating a dental clinic in this area for 40 years. Police have identified the victims as dentist Richard Hu, 74, and his wife Margaret, 72, and their assistant Ronald Chow. No terrorist organization has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.

Officials probing the case say the nearly 30-year-old assailant did not hurt the Pakistanis present at the clinic at the time of Wednesday’s incident. After the incident, the accused fled on a motorcycle with the help of his accomplice.
