India will host the Women’s 50-over World Cup (Women’s ODI World Cup) in 2025. The BCCI won the bid for the mega-tournament during the ICC’s annual conference that concluded in Birmingham on Tuesday. Now after more than a decade, the country will once again host this prestigious ICC tournament.
India last hosted the Women’s 50-over World Cup in 2013. In that World Cup, Australia won the title by defeating West Indies by 114 runs in the final match played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
BCCI President Sourav Ganguly said in an ICC statement, “We were keen to host the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 and we are glad that we got it.
