Auto rickshaw driver stabbed to death over a parking dispute in Mumbai’s suburban Govandi

Mumbai: Police on Sunday arrested four persons for allegedly stabbing an auto rickshaw driver to death after an argument over a parking issue in Mumbai’s suburban Govandi. A police officer gave this information.

According to the official, the deceased has been identified as Salim Baig (30), who was murdered on Saturday. He said that during investigation it was found that Shakir Mehboob Sheikh alias Khatri (29), Saddam Firdous Israr Khan alias Bail, Siddhant Prakash Ghadge (22) and Sadiq Mulla (25) were involved in the crime.

According to the official, “There was a heated argument between the accused and Salim recently over parking the vehicle. Enraged by this, the accused planned to kill Salim and killed him with a knife.

According to the official, the accused have been arrested under sections 302 (murder), 120-B (conspiracy) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and a detailed investigation is on in the matter.
