Auto dealership jobs are under threat after Diwali

Car Shortage in India : After several years of continuous ups and downs in the sales of auto companies in the country, this year’s Diwali has once again faded for the companies. According to the Federation of Auto Dealers Association Yana FADA (FADA), there has been about 30 percent less sales in October 2021 than last year. If the situation remains like this, those working at auto dealerships may also face difficulties.

Reduction in production affected sales

All these troubles are directly related to the business of the auto sector. Now the direct impact of the declining sales is starting to affect the business of the dealership. However, FADA President Vinkesh Gulati says that dealers have learned to work on low margins due to Corona. He also said that as of today, information about job loss is not being received from any place. But if such situation continues, it will be difficult ahead.

Discount at 7-year low

The dealers who sell the car also say that there are no special offers from the car companies this year.  He says that the supply is very less as per the demand. In such a situation, a bigger problem than the sale of vehicles is their availability. Alam is that this year’s discount on vehicles has reached a low of 7 years.  Experts estimate that the situation will remain like this for the next 6 months. Unless there is an increase in the production of semiconductors in the global market, it is difficult to accelerate the production and delivery of vehicles.

At present no one is being fired in view of festivals like Diwali and Chhath, but if the situation does not improve further, the earnings of car dealers will be weak and it is sure to have an impact on these jobs.
