Silver prices also fall

Global market also down
In the international market, gold was trading lower at USD 1,753 an ounce, while silver remained almost steady at USD 19.23 an ounce. HDFC Securities Senior Analyst (Commodities) Tapan Patel said, “The strengthening of the dollar overseas kept pressure on gold prices.”
Silver futures fall by Rs 641
Silver prices on Friday fell by Rs 641 to Rs 55,802 per kg in the futures market as participants reduced their positions on weak spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in September fell by Rs 641, or 1.14 per cent, to Rs 55,802 per kg. It had a turnover of 17,384 lots. Globally, silver fell by 1.37 per cent to USD 19.30 an ounce in New York.
