Australia took lessons from Tim Paine’s story, asked secrets before making Pat Cummins captain

Australia’s New Captain: Just 2 weeks before the Ashes series, Cricket Australia’s selectors wanted to know his secrets from Pat Cummins, who was appointed the new captain of the Australia Test team. Captain Cummins himself has told this thing. In an interview with a news channel, he told that the selection panel of Australia had told him that if he has any secret, then he should share it.

Actually, this month Tim Paine resigned from the captaincy over an old sex chat case. Cricket Australia also got a lot of notoriety in this case. In such a situation, Cricket Australia does not want any such old dispute with its new captain. This was the reason that before giving the captaincy to Pat Cummins, the selection committee wanted to know his secrets from him.

Cummins has been made the 47th Test captain of Australia. He is accompanied by former captain Steve Smith, who was suspended three years ago in 2018 following a ball-tampering scandal.

Pat Cummins is the number one bowler in Test rankings

Pat Cummins is currently at the top of the ICC Test Bowling Rankings. 28-year-old Cummins has played 34 Test matches so far and has taken 164 wickets. He is the 10th fastest bowler to take 150 wickets in Test cricket. He made his Test debut against South Africa on 17 November 2011 at the age of just 18.

After 65 years, a fast bowler got the command of Australia Test team

Pat is the first fast bowler in 65-year history to be given the captaincy of Australia in Test matches. Before him, in the year 1956, fast bowler Ray Lindwell was selected as the captain of a Test match for the tour of India.
