Birth and early life of Arun Bali
Arun Bali was born on Wednesday, 23 December 1942 in Lahore, Pakistan. Later he shifted to Delhi for his studies. He received his training in acting from the National School of Drama, Delhi.
He belongs to a Punjabi Muhiyal (Brahmin) family. When Arun was studying in the 5th standard, his father passed away. Arun Bali had 5 brothers and one sister.

Arun Bali used to work for Britannia Industries during his youth. He worked as a salesperson who made many trips selling biscuits to various places like Punjab, UP, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan.Â

Before making a career in acting, Arun Bali was also a singer. During a rehearsal for an opera, Arun’s brother, who used to work in theatre, asked Arun Bali to play a role that had to be a great actor as well as a prolific singer.

In the year 1991, he made his Bollywood debut with the film ‘Saugandh’. Apart from this he played the role of Shyamaldas Chanchal in Amir Khan’s film 3 Idiots.

He played the role of Darshan Singh Poonpuri in the 2014 film ‘Punjab 1984’ and the head priest of the Kedarnath temple in the film ‘Kedarnath’ (2018). In 2012, he appeared in the film ‘Barfi’ as Jhilmil’s grandfather.
In his film career, Arun worked in many Bollywood films including Khalnayak (1993), Aa Gale Lag Jaa (1994), Shikari (2000), Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman (1992), Dand Nayak (1998), Aankhen (2002), Armaan (2003). Has worked in films.

Apart from Hindi films, he has also shown his acting skills in Punjabi films. In 1991, he made his Punjabi debut with the film Vishakhi. Apart from this, in the year 2008, he played the role of a grandfather named Gurdit Singh in the Punjabi film ‘Munde UK De’.

In 1989, she made her television debut with the show “Doosra Keval” on the Doordarshan TV channel, in which Shah Rukh Khan, the Badshah of Bollywood, also shared the screen with her.Â

Arun Bali passed away at the age of 79
Actor Arun Bali, who was suffering from myasthenia gravis, a neuromuscular problem, passed away on 7 October at the age of 79. Myasthenia gravis is an autoimmune disease caused by a communication failure between nerves and muscles.
Arun Bali Cause of Death
Ankush, Bali’s son, revealed that his father was hospitalised earlier this year for Myasthenia gravis, an autoimmune condition marked by a breakdown in nerve-muscle communication. Ankush reported that although his father was benefiting from the medication, he passed away at around 4.30 am.
“My father left us. He was suffering from Myasthenia gravis. He had mood swings for two-three days. He told the caretaker he wanted to go to the washroom and after coming out he told him he wanted to sit down and he never got up then,” he told.
