Jaipur. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has given financial approval of Rs 91 crore 68 lakh for road development works in Jodhpur. With Gehlot’s approval, the work of widening and strengthening of the Salawas road (15 km) from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Jodhpur will be done. Along with this, a bridge will also be constructed on the Jojri river.
With this decision of the Chief Minister, the journey of the people coming and going from Luni and Dhundhara region to Jodhpur city, AIIMS and other places will be smooth. More than 50 thousand vehicles travel daily on this route. It is noteworthy that in the budget of the year 2022-23, Gehlot had announced for construction of various roads, major repair and upgradation of damaged roads in each district at a cost of Rs 3 thousand 133 crore.
In this sequence, this approval has been given by the Chief Minister for Jodhpur district. Taking another important decision, the Chief Minister has approved Rs 14 crore 89 lakh for the construction of an underpass at Kishangarh in Ajmer district. After Gehlot’s decision, underpass will be constructed in the old railway station premises located in Kishangarh.
The construction of underpass will provide relief to the common people in traffic and time will be saved. This underpass will connect the city divided into two due to the railway line. It is notable that Gehlot had announced to make RUB/underpass in the budget.
